Public Hearing on Variance at Minnie St

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ON VARIANCE

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Paynesville Board of Adjustment (City Council) has scheduled a public hearing for the purpose of considering a Variance request as submitted by Bill & Hancy Fuchs, to allow an addition to an existing structure, which is within an area zoned “C-1” – Central Business District, but also lies within the Shoreland Overlay District.  The proposed additions to the structure will exceed the maximum lot coverage of 30% within the Shoreland Overlay District, specifically, after the completion of the proposed addition, the lot coverage on the lot would be 33.37%. In addition, the Variance application asks that if the expansion is permitted, the Variance specifically allow for dirt work within the Shoreland Overlay District on such conditions as the Board of Adjustment may deem proper.

The property in question is located at 201 Minnie Street, Paynesville, Minnesota; and more particularly described as Tax Parcel No. 70.38751.0010, and is legally described as: 

Lots One (1), Two (2), Three (3) and Four (4), of Gale’s Addition to the Village (now City) of Paynesville, according to the plat and survey on file in the Office of the County Recorder, Stearns County, Minnesota.

The Variance public hearing is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 24, 2021 in the Paynesville City Hall Council Chambers, Paynesville, MN.

All interested parties are invited to attend said hearing and/or submit written comments prior to the public hearing day to City Hall, 221 Washburne Ave., Paynesville, MN 56362.
