Part-Time Police Officer
The Paynesville Police Department (population approximately 2,500) is currently accepting applications for a part-time Police Officer. The department is seeking a hardworking, dedicated, value adding applicant who is looking to make a difference and join our growing community. The department provides 24 hour coverage to the City of Paynesville and offers a schedule that consists of every other weekend off.
The position is Grade 9/Step 1, $22.88 per hour plus pro-rated holidays, Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA), $500.00 City match annually for deferred comp, AFLAC, paid training opportunities, and more. Applicant for this position will fill day shifts every other weekend (Sat/Sun) and cover the PTO hours of full-time staff when needed up to 750 hours.
To receive consideration, applicants must meet the minimum selection standards for a Peace Officer as detailed in the state law, possess a MN P.O.S.T. Board license, eligible to be licensed, or be able to be eligible to be licensed by date of appointment.
