PART-TIME POLICE SECRETARY

The City of Paynesville is accepting applications for a Part-Time Police Secretary in the Police Department. This position would be up to 30 hours per week without benefits. The starting pay is Grade 3/Step 1, $16.13 per hour per the labor union contract.  The City is looking for an individual who enjoys transcription, data entry, and report processing. This position will include transcribing police reports, processing, filing, scanning and submitting documents to various jurisdictions and departments for action.

Must be able to pass a background check and have the ability to deal courteously with the public while at all times maintaining confidentiality. Ability to prioritize work, strong detail and organizational skills, ability to work effectively with others, and good grammar skills.  Experience in the criminal justice system is preferred.
