Lake Koronis covers just over 3,000 acres and is located only one mile from Paynesville. The lake offers some of the best fishing in the area. An abundance of walleye, bass, northern pike make this one of the premier lakes in Central Minnesota. There are two public parks on the lake; Veteran’s Park and Lake Koronis Regional Park, both of which offer a wide range of facilities including boat access.

Located about five miles southeast of Paynesville, Rice Lake covers an acreage of 1,638. Rice Lake also offers excellent walleye, bass, and northern pike fishing. Lake access is on northwest shore in Rice Lake Bay or southwest shore.
