Paynesville's warning sirens will sound when Stormwatchers have identified a threat of a potential tornado or possible in the case of severe winds in the area. Parents, educate your children on what to do if the sirens are sounded.
Immediately go to your basement or to a closet away from windows if you do not have a basement. Do not open windows, as items may get blown in, causing damage or possible injury.
The City tests its emergency warning system on the first Wednesday of the month at 1:00 p.m.
