 Can I make a driving test appointment?

Written tests are given at the City Hall on the second Thursday of each month from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Driving test appointments are required and can be made by calling (320)255-3044 Monday through Friday.

 Does the City have a Notary Public?

Yes, there are staff available to notarize documents at the City Hall. A photo ID is required and there is a $1.00 charge. All signatures must be witnessed by the Notary Public.

 Does the City require pet licenses?

Yes, all cats and dogs are required to be licensed. Annual licenses are due by September 30th of each year. Proof of rabies certificate must be presented. Fee: $10.00 if spayed/neutered or $20.00 if not spayed/neutered.  Fees double after September 30th.

 How long is the Motor Vehicle Department open?

8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. You can contact the Department of Motor Vehicles at 320-243-3714 ext. 239.

The Veterans Service Officer is in Paynesville the second Thursday of each month from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Paynesville American Legion. You may also call (320) 656-6176 for information and questions.

 When is the Compost Site open?

COMPOST SITE DATES AND TIMES ARE WEATHER PERMITTING

The compost site is open daily Spring through November until 8 or dusk. It will be monitored with security cameras.
